    sorry to hear that, i've used speciment containers before for the same purpose..drilled small holes and added an airstone (hung on the inside of the tank of course).

    i didn't add an air stone, didn't think i needed to, i got the container hanging on the front center of tank, airstone on each end of tank, 2 hob filters with combined flow of 650gph, so there's plenty of water movement. it's a 55gal tank.
    dawn, i have a few pics of the little one, should i post here or do you wan them in the fish section??

    We have Betta fry! I have only seen a couple because they are completely transparent except for the eyes, will post pics when they get bigger!

    Got two "sworty" babies I think. That's swordtail and platy. I'm sure the mom that dropped 'em was a pineapple wag swordtail but one of the babies is peppered like my male platy. First two I managed to catch and put in the breeder trap before they were eaten. Imagine having a hard time with livebearers!

    well i got some yesterday and overnight they dug a hole under a rock with 2 entrances, and males and female both been in there ages

    dug a hole? Mine have never done that?
    And typically the females only in there for a day and then the male completely takes over once the eggs are in place.
    Plus they lay their eggs on the top underside surface (kinda like the ceiling of things).
