Believe or not that is one of the reason I got started in breeding Goldfish is because out of hundreds of breeders no one was breeding quality goldfish here. All the really good fish where come out of China, Singapore, or Japan and where expensive as all get out or the quality was really not there.

My fish aren't cheap but better that buying one a place on a 747 from China and having to deal with customs and all the paper work that goes along with that.

I truly believe the reason you hear people saying they don't like goldfish is because they don't get to see healthy good looking ones like you're breeding Rick.

Instead they see the poor feeder quality ones that the pet stores are carrying...or worse yet the kois & goldfish that are stuffed into a dirty tank and kept in all places (most chinese restaurants)...It's like you look and say eww...how can they keep that in a restaurant as dirty and smelly as that tank is (of course no filtration of any kind..just a tank with nasty dirty gravel...and even fouler water that is probably never changed).

Just once I'd like to see a goldfish tank display where the fish are healthy and there's actually WORKING equipment and partials that are done regularly! Grr.. (okay, it's my pet peeve..can you tell?)
