HELP NAME THAT CICHLID ! ! !

    I'm having trouble identifying this new member to my tank. . .can anyone help me out? Sorry for the bad quality photos [icon_e_sad.gif]

    For a bit there I thought you wanted us to help name the cichlid like Tom or something.

    Kind of looks like it may be a firemouth. A clearer side shot picture will be more helpfull.

    Without a better pic I can't be sure but it looks similar to a rainbow cichlid. I doubt it is a firemouth due to the stripe going all the way to the tail and the rounded face. Firemouths usually have a noticeable dot and the stripe doesn't go to the end and their faces are more pointed.

    after seeing the better photos, i'll agree with Ben that it looks like a rainbow cichlid
    (Herotilapia Multispinosa).
