I am getting foam in my cichlid tank

    that couyld be it its been in there around 2 weeks ish im gonna change filters now

    just cleaned filters! foam thinned loads! they were sandy lol and pooey and weedy found the cause though

    good ;) when/if you get more concentration of foam you can skim it off and maybe it'll help get the sand dust out instead of getting it into the filters.

    you can also use a pre-filter sponge to prevent the sand from entering the intake in the first place.
