    Yes they are both in... I actually put them both in together... after reading I SHOULD have put the female in first and added the male after a few days... but.... I HAD to get them out of the tank showing how mean they got....

    My 125 has 2 female Heckels courting what I think is a male... IF that tank gets a pair I am removing ALL the other fish to my 55 and using the 125 as my breeding tank for the Heckels.... I dont have as much faith in them actually breeding though.... Heckels are tough fish to get to spawn..

    I will post another picture of my 30 gallon tank in a little bit...

    I HAVE EGGS!!!! Came upstairs to find the male tending the tube.... CRAP is all I could think... they spawned on the filter intake.... I have to think of what to do next.... I DO have more filters though... this one is off now

    congratz on your eggs!!! there are so many!! my angel spawned today also..but the eggs are a whiteish color?? is that bad? its my first time .. sorry for the questions !!

    If they look kind of clear they are good, solid white they are not. Discus eggs are more pink than Angel eggs.

    thanks lemon..1/2 of them are gone this am..the ones that were all white ,the angels have been picking off the leaf.. about 20 left now..hope some make it!! it's the first time we have had eggs !!! the girls are loving it.

    The eggs ARE fertile.... Still pink today and should be wigglers tomorrow night. I will see then if the parents will eat them or not.

    I can't do a background Dawn because it could distract the fry from finding the parents when they need to latch on to the parents....

    It can sometimes take a few tries for them to get things right. Same goes for my Discus. It makes it nerve racking... Lol

    The angels and discus are almost the same.... If all the eggs die they will go again in less than a week after all bases are gone... If you leave the babies in there it will be 3-4 weeks

    they are eating all the eggs... i picked the leaf and put it in a breeder trap..hope it saves the 10 that are left !!
