Hey guys I have a marine land eclipse 37g aquarium, I have a few questions.... Does anyone know where I can get the lighting fixture replacement parts? During a water change I think I burnt it out by accident. Also does anyone have ideas for light bulbs for it? It needs to stay around 20 watts x2 bulbs. I am wondering if it is capable of transferring to a saltwater tank at some point and things I would need for it. Any help I can get would be awesome!!!

I found the module for the 6, so I'm sure it would exist somewhere? Maybe try contacting the manufacture? <a class="postlink" href="http://www.pugetsystems.com/store/item.php?cat=Other&id=6142&com=d41d8cd9" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.pugetsystems.com/store/item. ... m=d41d8cd9</a>

depends on what you plan on doing with it and stocking in it.

 for example: Freshwater/Freshwater Planted, Saltwater Fish Only/Saltwater Reef............... IF going salt...are you planning on doing Live Rock? Deep Sand Bed?

 Will you have the necessary room for equipment or will you do a sump?
Also, are you planning on using a refugium??

:D If you have to do in tank equipment and are tight for space I'd suggest using a canister filter or filters and placing the heater inline (Hydor Brand). To get the most circulation possible you may want to utilize a spray bar that can be positioned in various ways to prevent "dead" spots...
(For example you could place a spraybar vertical in the back rear corner/corners and aim it/them towards the middle of the tank)...a uv sterilizer is also a good piece of equipment to have and it also can be installed inline.

    For a protein skimmer that doesn't require alot of tank space i'd suggest the CPR BackPak--> <a class="postlink" href="http://www.cpraquatic.com/index2.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.cpraquatic.com/index2.html</a>

    Equipment such as:
    [*]saltwater safe Heater
[*]Filter or enough Live Rock to act as one..or simply BOTH
[*]Power Heads or Spray Bars (to prevent dead spots)
    [*]Protein Skimmer
    [*]special salt for saltwater tank
    [*]saltwater master test kit
[*]Hydrometer or refractometer to "read" salt levels
[*]Substrate (if you plan on using any)
[*]Appropriate lighting depending on what your stocking
[*]UV sterilizer (if you plan on using one)
    [*]A quarantine tank
[*]A good book to read up would be "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist" by Robert Fenner

:geek: and for bulb recommendations I always used Coralife Brand Bulbs when I did Saltwater and for my freshwater planted I'm using Geismann Brand Bulbs...if you just want to know what's available I suggest google>shopping>20w T8 bulb

    you mean this? <a class="postlink" href="http://www.amazon.com/Eclipse-System-Instant-Saltwater-Aquarium/dp/B0018CDWZY" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.amazon.com/Eclipse-System-In ... B0018CDWZY</a>

ps. it ships for free @ PetStore.com & is $153.74

I've seen them in the store and used to have a little marineland brand one, but used it for freshwater and I loved it...just didn't like the part of it being acrylic (scratches too easy imo). The saltwater ones are listing a daylight bulb...I'm amazed they aren't including an actinic one?

I'd try to go as big as possible tank wise for two reasons...
    1) by the time you buy all the equipment it'll be close to the same of what a smaller setup will run you
    2) allows you more room for error...and saltwater isn't as forgiving when it comes to boo boos

that actually isnt the one its 37g marineland eclipse. I totally understand why you would want a larger tank
