For very affordable filter floss :

    Morning Glory Premium Polyester Fiberfill

    This product comes in....

[*]a plastic 20oz. bag which is the size of a standard pillow (has a light green label and retails for $1.97) ...Shown in photo

    OR also comes in...

[*]a 5lb. Large sized Cardboard box full (also has the light green label and retails for $9.97)

    Where do I find this?
I find this at my local Wal-mart in there craft department (usually in the aisle with the yarn)

    Applications:
[*] I use this in both my Rena Filstar xp4's uppermost baskets as filtration floss.

Defin a good deal for me considering the Rena Filstar MicroFiltration Pads are $6.99 a box at Petsmart and barely last a month (never was able to rinse them out and reuse them because they fall apart)...and If I were to continue using them I'd need 2 boxes being I'm running two xp4's on my 90g....
    So...
For me, the filter floss kicks butt savings wise!

Luckily the 20ppi & 30ppi foam pads can be rinsed out and reused :)

wow, I got mine for $1.97...guess pricing varies? Still cheaper and lasts longer than the overpriced cartridges :)

Heck, I know from Wal-mart to Wal-mart it does too and asked the worker about it and they said it was true...prices varied from store to store [icon_e_confused.gif]

Yeah even here Waynesboro walmart is normally cheaper then C'ville. I got it in C'ville so that may be why.
