Okay, now a serious question... What's with the ...uhm...word i can't say on here but starts with an f...carebear? I hate carebears.

No, really. Uhm, what's the best like all around bottom feeder? One that eats algae and left over food but doesn't get too too big, that i can put in with my guppies. The ghost shrimp are cool and see through and whatnot, but they are tiny

Corys are great BUT they dont really eat algae! They do eat leftovers...

You would need 2 types to do that job.... 1 to eat the leftovers (Corydoras) and 1 to eat the algae (Otos)

Neither get big an you should keep around 4 of each.

4 in a ten gallon with 7 guppies? Would that work? Sounds better for my 20 gallon which I plan to put mollies & platys in.

Then I guess my corys are just odd :) Sometimes I catch them eating algae. But yep otos are best for it.

Woow..I feel some tension in the forum. (=
Carebears have always creeped me out. I'm a hello kitty person.

I don't like plecos. I have 1 in my 55 gallon that's about 7 inches and lazier than a sloth

Aw. well it's okay. You can use it for bagels and such but you can't see HK's face and really unless you like your toast dark(which i don't) you can't see her face anyway. My fiancee burned a piece of toast to show my brothers what it does. I came home from work and was like... WTF burnt toast...because?

Haha! that had to be a golden moment.
I'd be ticked that the face didn't show. Thats the sad part of selling "novelty" items...they never quite work like they should..I shoulda figured as much though when I saw the line on clearance at my target..they even had the hot air popcorn popper.

For a cleaning squad I would get about 2-4 ghost shrimp and 4 otos, Ghost shrimp may be small when first bought but they can get bigger and most of them should be big enough for your guppies not to eat them.

I'm going to be getting a squad of 4 ghosts and 4 otos for my tank when I'm in town next time.
