My Crypt is trying to flower

    It's had the spathe for a while. I just raised it above water to see if it will open. There's a smaller one just to the right as well. We'll see.

    Will do. I hope it opens. They have some very beautiful and unique flowers.

    Ive never seen one, i was getting ready to oust my crypt W.'s but i think I might hang onto them and place them in a shorter tank.

    My anubias flower all the time, even if they dont bloom the bud stays there for months.

    mine have never done that, is this only an open air event?

    They only open above water.

    I got another underwater shot this morning. Another spathe has formed bringing the total to four now.
