I got one of these sponges for my SMALL 20 gallon filter...it was a sponge replacement for a Fluval. However I havent found one big enough for my 55 gallon filter, its tube is about the size of a quarter.

    it is a Odyssea CFS4

    Dimensions - 9.50" x 8.50" x 16.75"
Parts and tubing add 4.00" in height
    4 stage filter media
Includes all parts - Plug and Play
    Flow rate: 300 GPH
    Includes all filtration media
    Motor head color: black
    Body color: transparent green
Assembly diagram on box, no manual
    Suitable for freshwater and marine

When you get it measure the inlet and see if its a circle or rectangle port. The ones I showed you fit a 1" AC70 as well as a 1/2" mag 350 inlet.

And I am planning on getting a bunch more but they are really hard to find, unless they are called something else I can not find them on Aquabid.

Wow, those are small...guess I'm used to getting them already over 12"

    Vallisneria
petsolutions carries them (italian and contortion), ebay has jungle val, aquabid has italian -- type in val, and there's several other places that have them (check out the fish stores).

Yes I actually after this message found some on ebay and ordered them. They should be here today. Also guys I installed Co2 Wednesday, I bought the Co2 system that Petsmart sells (Hagen Plant Grow Natural System with CO2). I left Friday for vacation and came back monday to a very big surprise, my Water Sprite was TWICE if not 3 times its size when I left. Now this unit states it works up to 40 gallons so I know that I might have to buy another one. Once I get a chance I will get a before and after picture.

Also came home to find my new Canister NOT working. Contacted the company I got it from and shipped the power head back. Very disturbing, only 2 weeks old, I am glad that I had not taken the HOB filter off yet...And now MAY not.

I picked up 2 Amazon Swords (first ever) and a banana lily. Now in the near future I will be going presuized and that's probably it for this tank.

On to either a 55 cichlid or 55 Marine.
