My Pleco Plays Dead!

    I've never had driftwood in my tanks. Mine always stick to the glass or eat off of the decorations in my tank. They especially like to hang out behind the filter...

    Yup. they love it love it love it!
    I also give them choya wood to munch and crunch!
    And yes, I have named them all.

    yup yup. They love gnawing on the wood...it's not like they are making holes overnight though. Mine are always out in the open so to speak...never behind the filter/heater, but when I had the common types they loved sticking behind the intakes as does yours jrow.

    most do get nasty. Bristles are nice (at least mine are)..they don't bother anyone/anything in the tank (besides the driftwood/choya)

    probably would have if they were slow moving (or more likely to stay in one place for a period of time).

    Ummmmm my Discus live on the right hand side of my tank and hardly move... ask Anthony :)

    Yeah... that is why I chose Otos... stick with the pure vegetarians... nothing like a vegan pleco :)

    my two spotted plecos are very peaceful they dont bother anything, they do chase eachother sometimes.

    maybe you have a breeding pair...or two males ..usually females can get along..its the males that are mostly the issue most times.
