Thanks for letting me know that, I was unsure if you could find them elsewhere (not that I need to)...I just know my local petstores don't have the same ones the manufacture gives you. I sorta figured if I went to a hardware store with the original hose that they/I could match up a hose that was close to/if not the same...and if it wasn't a perfect fit that their was always faucet clamps.

You will more than likel need the clamps. I tried to match my hose with some at home depot and it seemed the same, but was a little too large causing air to get sucked into the filter and output.

Love it. Despite hearing that it was loud and made noise etc, the only time I can remotely hear anything is when it purges the air that has built up inside the filter over the past 24 hrs. and when that happens its just a bunch of bubbles. the dual outputs are nice and pretty adjustable which allows you to control the direction of the flow.

Yeah, I heard that it was loud as well. I think some people have unrealistic expectations when it comes to filter noise though.

Yeah, I have 11 filters within 10 feet of me and the only thing I hear is an oscillating fan. I mean, It all depends on whats around the filter imo, if its resting against the wall or some other solid object I could see how someone might start hearing vibrations or something. I my experience the loudest most obnoxious piece of equipment is an air pump, hands down.

Yeah, I agree. Air pumps are pretty annoying. Their little rubber feet don't seem to cut down on the vibrations at all.

The blue alien space ship looking ones from tetra i think are nice, the quietest I have used, but if the darn thing happens to vibrate on over to the wall, a air pump cord, basically anything else thats not air, it starts making that horrible noise like every other one.

Yeah, that's what I used to use in my tanks up north for sponge filters.
