    sounds like copepods to me?
    <a class="postlink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copepod" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copepod</a>

could possibly be planaria too though-->striatas will erradicate it if so.

from the best i can gather it seems to be planaria. never noticed anything like that before, thought it was kind of intresting.

will they hurt anything??? i kinda wanna leave them for a bit an examine them as they grow.

Sounds like planaria to me, reduce feedings and up your gravel vacs and you will see them decreasing in numbers.

I understand the banana but bologna?????? They won't really harm anything just unsightly, I have however heard of them killing some of the ornamental type snails.

i was trying to make a mix, they would not eat the banana by itself so i tried to add some bologna with it. dident really work.

no snails in take and the catfish and planco seem to be doing away with them. ill let them work it out :)
