If the air's really dry and there's enough of an opening on your tank and/or the sump it's possible.

Is there much room where the water is exposed to air on your tank or the sump ?

maybe an inch or two between the cover and the tank, and then the entire sump is uncovered.

So, I am starting to think that theres a leak somewhere on my wet dry. I left a towel beside it last night and its soaked. The water level was low so I decided to prop one side up and see if that would change things a bit, and it surely did. THere was hardly any water in the wet dry this morning, but the rena xp3 box that was beside it was soaked from top to bottom like it had just been sitting there sucking in water. So, does this tell you that the leak is on the bottom and when I propped it up it made it a fast leak? Any idea on how to fix this?

Seems like it. Aquarium silicone would fix it, if you can find the leak.

I am sick and tired of messing with the wetdry. Its gone as soon as I can replace it.
