I got a 50 gal tall today with a short stank and a nice DIY canopy. Did dirt and covered with sand so it's really cloudy. Will take pics when it clears some. Going to be planted SA style. Need to find a nice light for it. currently 50W T12 6500K.

new tanks are soo much fun! Well at least the initial setup of them and stocking..the "work" part kinda bites, but can't wait to see it!

What about a standard shop light ursi?

    basically that's what's in the canopy. 1 -24" T12 20W and 1 -36" T12 30W. I bought new bulbs so I know they are good and 6500K

All the decorations in the tank I got in a box when I bought a 29 gal for $20 Had 3 large boxes of "equipment with the tank. The plants I got off Aquabid 14 swords for $25 included shipping.

glad you won the plants..I looked at the same auction but passed it by when I saw your name in the bid list.
GREAT deal on the equipment, because the "driftwood replica" large one was I wanna say 30+ at petsmart when I last checked it.

I would be so excited over that tank. I like that the size is different. I really like how it's planted and that it has a canopy to top it off. I have always thought a canopy makes a huge difference in the look of the set up. Are you going to add angelfish to it?
