I don't play with java moss anymore. I had it before and it grew way too fast in my tanks. :)

Funny.... Java moss never grew in mine.... lol.....

Anxious here to see the fish! Kind of a small tank at 20 gallons though for Angels though you think?

Are you sure they are a pair? And yes... it is a bit small... even if it is a tall.... 29 minimum IMO.....

Like Discus... if you are not sure they are a pair... they do best in groups of 6 or more and let them pair off on their own....

If they are juvies.... you got some time... but be careful as I am sure you know... its easy to throw the bioload off in a 20.... thats 1 reason I dont like tanks that small....... again... IMO

Your right... they are... little quarter sized juvies it seems... yeah... you will be good for a little bit but you will want to waterchange this little tank 20-40% 2 times a week...

    I don't have a pair yet, hence having 10 right now. :D

You can see from the picture that they're tiny little guys.

Yeah.... 10 is WAY too many in a 20 gallon tank... they wont pair until almost adult size (about 5-8" pelvic fin tip to dorsal fin tip and about 4-6" head to tail).... a 55 would be ok... that is what I would do.... A 55 is a bit small for 10... but if you keep up water changes it will be fine...

I warn you this because I lacked maintenance on my tanks for a few weeks... I did do water changes but as I mentioned I did not have a lot of time.... well I have lost 3 discus in the past month... all of them just withered away and I could not do a thing for them...

1 was the Blue Turquoise... it was a weak fish from the start... I expected it to die... the 2nd was that runted Red Sunset that was the size of a half dollar and full grown... also a weak fish I did not expect to live... runts die because the insides outgrow the bodies.... the one that was a shock is I lost one Heckel... it was the weakest of the Heckels but I did not expect it to die....

I attribute most of that to my lack of time... different feeding schedule (little to none... I fed them when I had a second) and my little 5-10% water changes....

With those price tags I'd be crying.

Anthony can always send some angels my way. I think I have room? Lol!

When I'm ready to remove them you can have them if you'd like. :) My plan was to just trade them in for store credit when that time came.

Just did a 50% water change on the tank. When the guy tested my water today he said I had .25ppm of ammonia (PetSmart). I tested it with my liquid kit and got 0ppm, he was also using test strips though. :)

Here are a few new pictures. I'm going to move this to the non planted area until I add plants as well.

The tank is still a little cloudy but it's much better than it was earlier today.

i think 10 in a 55 should be fine tho since mines like to school together i had them school since they were born but when they pair up around 8 months old your going to have some fighting....

I'm not keeping 10 long term. I'll only have them long enough to pick a pair.
