I have to disagree with you on this. Yes it's too small for 10 adults but from the pictures these angels are pretty tiny and have a lot of growing to do before they're overcrowded. I've done the same thing but with many more angels and a larger tank and my experience is that they pair off well under the sizes you listed

looks good...you may even get lucky and end up with more than one pair...then you'll have to decide on which pair to keep.

I dunno, I think with them being small and only keeping until you get a pair that their fine in the 20...I mean its not like they're adults and don't have any swimming room.

It not like you have horrible non-exist. tank maint...you know what your doing.

Aww look at that poor cory, IU'd feel lonely with all the angls.

Gotta agree with dawn on what she said.

Oh and Lemon, I'm sorry for your loss especially the heckel. That must bite badly, due to my lack of taking care because I'm so busy. I only lost 2 neon tetras!

I do understand they are juvies... I did say it can be done but water changes NEED to be frequent and of larger volume than a standard stocked tank. The concern here is that you have 10 growing fish that eat large amounts of food which equals large amounts of waste (yes babies do put off more waste AND eat more than adults). I dont feel I need to go into detail of what happens but in a nutshell... you CAN keep 10 juvies in a 20 gallon tank... again 20-40% water changes 2 times a week... it will be fine... IF NOT they will be stunted and the water quality will rapidly deteriorate. The issue is not the aggression because once a pair comes that will be a problem but that is the objective.... to obtain a pair.

Just watch the water quality closely Anthony and keep up on the water changes....

Other tid bits for what they are worth..
LOW PH is GOOD! (6.5 is ideal)
Soft water is NECESSARY for the eggs.... like discus they wont hatch right in hard water
Keep your temp higher than your other tanks! (lower 80's)

I would do all of this now to acclimate the angels for later... again... my opinion..

Doing two water changes a week is not a problem at all, it'll give me something to do. :)

I'm working on dropping the pH a bit from 7.0.

I just threw the Wisteria in the tank really quickly since tomorrow I'll be doing my real planting after I get some things from GOT MTS?.

Now it's planted so moved back to the Planted section. :D

I also have new lighting, all LEDs, designed to grow plants.

I've been speaking with the owner of the company. He sent them to me as a promotion so I can review them for him as well as you guys. Without going into detail, he'll have a little banner on the index page in a day or so.
