This pair has been together nearly two years and wont spawn. After a 50% water change today, the did some serious lip locking for the first time. Her colors have never been so bright. No tube showing though so who knows.

Other fish shown are female Thorichthys Mixteco Gold, female Archocentrus Centrarchus, female Con, HRP and HRP Leucistic pair. Oh and cant forget the Black Ruby Barbs.

Well since my Nics were lip locking over a week ago I havn't seen them much. They are both in the back right corner. Havnt seen the female at all and the male can be seen slightly. They havn't eaten at all.

I have had this pair for almost two years (since babies) and had given up hope on them. Well I took a closer look today with a flashlight and there are free swimmers. I was a little surprised since they are not aggresive at all and let others very close.

Although I always had real rock caves that they dug out to there liking, it seems that putting a large ceramic cave with one opening from Kens did the trick.

Male is just hangin out and not doing a great job chasing predators away. He does seem interested at least.

fingers crossed for ya, simply awesome vid!

large water changes that are a few degrees cooler than where the tank reads is known to have a spawning effect :)
