    I decided to check my paremeters, after 48 hours of having the skimmer on.

    My results:

    Ammonia: 0
    Nitrite: 0.05
    Nitrate: 10
    ph: 8.6
    Alkalinity: about 1.6

    guess i should give an update, i've been a bit busy latley with work, school, and horses.

    Tank is still cycling, not much has changed although i did buy my light yesterday so it should be here in a few days.

    I will finally have something to post about :D

    so i got my light and bulbs today, i can't hook it up just yet because my dad and i need to work on hanging it this weekend. It is one AMAZING light it lit up my room like the 4th of July! it sure is awesome. I can't take pics yet because my laptop is getting fixed and will hopefully be done sometime next week. So when i get it back i'll post some pics for you guys :D

    lol it's amazing how powerful some of these lights are

    hopefully we will be able to put the light fixture up this weekend, and get my laptop back next week and i'll be able to post pics

    i got the 36" 4x39 T5 HO Tek light with 2 ATI Blue Plus, 1 ATI 1200k aquablue, and one UV Lighting Actinic white bulbs and all for $350

    lol hopefully by next weekend they'll be up :D And i just tested my nitrates and they are now at 5! they were at 20 last time i tested. Nitrite is still at 0.05, i didn't test ammonia tonight, but i think cycling will finally be done in 1 or 2 more weeks

    nope it's not but it sure hurt the credit card. But in the end the lights will be worth it, as i want to concentrate more so on corals than fish, i'd rather have a light fish stock and just have a tank packed with so many nice and bright and georgeous corals. I deffienently have the coral bug now, i just wish my tank would hurry up and finish cycling. With nitrates going down it seems so close, so now just to get rid of nitrites and ammonia

    oh and i saw black and white clownfish for the first time today at the lfs and they were soo cute! i can't wait until i get some. I like them so much more than the false and true clowns
