    I know, when I had the cyano it was a constant battle (almost brought me to tears in dealing with it cuz it made the tank look like crud).

    that must of been a pain. that's how i'm starting to feel about gha right now and it has just begun and it's pretty bad. And this is with using RO/DI water i'd hate to see how much algae i would have if i was using straight tap

    and I take it you've reduced your lighting and checked your foods ingredients for phosphates? (I remember Ocean something flakes being high in it...i think that was the name)

    lighting is only on for 5 hours, at least for now as i don't have corals yet. Food is a very small amount of frozen brine and mysis shrimp. But your right about some flakes/pellets being high in phosphates. I still don't have a phospate test at the moment but i need to get all new tests kits because my current ones are alomst out and about a year old.

    no problem, I'm big on shopping around the net for the cheapest prices...i've found it's always cheaper to buy online than in the fish stores.

    A really good site is petsolutions...and use thky for $5 off your order.

    Don't forget to check for the online coupons! --> <a class="postlink" href="http://www.tjoos.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.tjoos.com/</a>

    i've heard about petsoultions. I don't have the money to buy right now but i get paid on monday so i'm hoping i'll have a really good pay check to pay down the majoirty of my credit card because i really need to get ahold of a large clean up crew and new test kits like really soon, i've cut down on how much i test because i don't want to run out and not have any

    Definately worry about the credit card first! Just keep up with the water changes and using the baster BEFORE the changes to loosen whatever you can (can use a new toothbrush too)...if you have an old garden hose there are many people who make a diy siphon out of them (or anything similar for that matter).

    I myself, never went that route cuz I sure as heck ain't risking sucking in tank water...just the thought gives me chills.
