I actually live in a townhouse and its funny, the only thing they consider "pets" are cats and dogs which ARE allowed with additional deposit and "pet fee"

I have an African Gray and 4 fish tanks and they are NOT considered pets... :)

i think all we have to wait is 12 weeks, the end of a cycle, but i don't think my tank will take that long, i'm hoping it will only take 4 weeks

If I owned a SW I would have a lionfish ($49-200 here depending on strain)

They do look a little like tangs :)

lionfish would be cool, but you would need a masive tank that wouldn't be a reef. I wish i could have two huge sw tanks, one community reef, one predator fowlr

I think the shape of the discus looks very similar to the yellow tang

Yes! It was a reef setup with Angelfish and and Eel (This was a 180 gallon tank I believe but it was not a long, it was a tall and deep front to back like a breeder tank).... The lionfish eats any fish it fits in its mouth (this was a pet store setup BTW and not somebody's personal tank... it was a LFS display) and they had corals... they told me the lionfish dont mess with the corals but you have to choose livestock that cant fit in the lionfishes mouth so no clowns.... nothing small basically...
