Alright, I've decided to jump in with both feet and test the waters of betta breeding. In fact, I have two local pet stores that have already said they'll buy from me. :-D So, of course I have a few questions...

I have seven females and five males, all of which have awesome colors. I have pics of everybody, but don't have all of them uploaded, so I can't show you their colors. I've read some conflicting views about pairings. A few sites/books say pair based on size. Other sites/books say pair based on color. Which is it? Here's a list of the colors (and respective sexes) of my bettas.

Males:
Blue crowntail with red fins
Cellophane veiltail
Crimson veiltail
Blue veiltail with yellow fins
Pearl veiltail with maroon band around base of fins (he's in the pic above)

Females:
Turquoise crowntail with red fins
Crimson female
Turquoise female
Velvet blue female
Blue female (a little larger and not as "velvety" as the other blue)
Red/blue female (she's mainly bright red with a bluish tinge...very unique)
PITCH BLACK female with white-blue veining in her tail (OMG gorgeous!)

Okay, so another question: What kind of setup do I need as a breeding tank? I'll have to purchase another tank since all mine are filled to capacity, so I'm wondering what I'll need. I've heard as small as ten gallons and as large as 20+. Space isn't a problem, so let me know what works best.

Also, I need just general tips about raising the fry, etc. I'm going to google it and do some research, but I'd appreciate any firsthand tips (or great websites you found helpful).
