    Problem

OK I just got my light from the hardware store, I didn't notice that the bulbs where Xenon bulbs, would this work for my tank????

Note: I have open the packaging, I notice something seemed off when I turned on the light.

It'll work for light purposes. Won't provide any benefit to the tank...specially plants. Not sure what kind of fixture it is but see if you can find 6500k daylight bulbs for it.

OK I'll try, and when I do I'm throw it on my fry tank with a few live plants and see if the grow.

They may cause huge algae problems.
