    Fluval Fx5
What does everyone think about this filter system? It says it recirculates 607 gallons an hour. This is for my 125 gal tank

Supposedly it's a nice filter. Big but filters well. Keep in mind the GPH rating filters list are while the filter is empty (no media). Wee-Bay uses one on his 125.

GREAT filter! One of the best on the market! You still would need another filter with it but as your primary filter it would be perfect!

The secondary filter you can get later and it does not need to be that powerful! Just get something around 350GPH which are most canister filter's output and even several HOB!

I was reading the manual it says Filter Circulation is 607 g/h, but the pump output is 925 g/h. I only can assume that the 925 is running with no media, but the 607 is the actual running flow.

That would be accurate I think! Also keep in mind you loose pressure at the head for each inch below the tank the canister resides

    craigslist .... ebay

They are still quite expensive so the word cheap is going to be relative!

I've read nothing but good things about them.
I can't remember the site but someone compared them to the eheim 2080 and they basically tied.
