Raising Endler's Questions ...

    So I've decided to put the girlie Endler's in the small nesting tank for now with my preggo platy to keep them away from the GuppyMan for now. I'd put the Gup in there, but I don't want him to eat the Platy babies, and I don't think the Endlers will. They can hang out in there with the platy fry till they can have their own home.

    All the Endler girls are also pregnant.

    How long is the gestation period?
    How can you tell when they are almost ready to drop?

    i believe they give birth every 28 days
    unless you know the last date they dropped fry im not sure theres any sure fire way to tell when theyre ready to drop

    Close. Guppies generally give birth every 28 days. Endler's are around 23.

    How many fry do the females normally drop?

    It depends on their age/size. My younger females tend to drop about 10ish. Older fully grown ones can drop double that.
