restocking the 5g:Leslie (advice wanted)

    i need something that will get along with shrimp. any sugestions welcome

    5 gallons doesn't leave you many options. One or two male guppies should work. You might get by with a single Scarlet Gem Badis.

    That's a schooling fish so no. I wouldn't place one or two in your tank. They're best kept in schools of 8+.

    ok. i am getting shrimp. so i guess just shrimp is going in. maybe a betta. found a pretty black one at petsmart. it was a female

    betta will pick at the shrimp. You'd do much better with just the shrimp imo

    i really want something else in it. could the platys stay in it you think?

    shrimps are pretty much victims of just about anything.
    You could try the platys and see how it goes since you have the 10g for a backup.

    I think i am going to get 2 guppys. male ones. i am going to rehome the pplattys

    sounds like a good plan. Fancy male guppies are very pretty! They'll give the lil tank the pop it needs I'm sure!
