ok 79 USG i bet if i measured the interior dimensions it would be closer. but i cant it is filled with water. any how this tank is labeled as a 75g.
so does this mean my stocking would still be ok?

Even if it's a 75 gallon tank what we discussed will be perfectly fine.

    ok so
    1 severum
    1 blue acara
    1 firemouth
    8 cories
    2 pleco

would be ok with lots of hiding spaces. i will leave out the rainbowfish (too expensive anyway).

That should work out. Keep in mind plecos often don't do well with cichlids so provide LOTS of rockwork and hiding spaces for everyone.

Sounds good to me as well as long as you get small fish to begin with

yeah the fish will be smaller sized. i thought cichlids kinda ignore bottom dwellers. wouldnt plecos fall into that catergory?

No, they don't ignore them at all. I've heard MANY stories of plecos losing eyes to cichlids and being killed.
