    Lol! I know, when I sold mine off it took a ba-zillion picts just to get 2 semi-blurry ones.
    I like seeing how others setup their tanks (decor/background wise).

    Simply feeding the 90g & 20gL....not planning on doing much today due to asthma flareup. Maybe I'll be motivated to pull out my fleece rations and sew the chinnys some new liners and hangy houses. Lol!

    finally got off my tuckus and listed everything on CL, took a few new picts of everything, fed everyone, and cleaned the 90g front glass of algae...still need to get the back wall but that won't happen until the scrapes on my knuckles heal- not risking infection.

    between lastnight and this morning, we got the 55g tore down (put the fish, filters, heater, gravel and decor in a 45g tote). we got all the water scum/stains off the glass, cleaned the hoods and lights as well, got the stand level and painted the back of the tank. i got the tank back on the stand earlier this morning and me and my two boys got the fish and everything else back in the tank. my wife be surprised when she gets home from work here after while, she's expecting to help me set it up. i do have 3 more tanks ( 10g, 20g, 150g) that have to have water changes done today so i'll get my wife to help me with those. i'll get some pics posted of the 55g when the fish gets settled back in.

    it really wasn't all that bad. didn't take as long to do as i thought it would. the tank turned out really good. when my wife got home from work and seen the tank all set up she said "WOW that looks ALOT better" ! she did also help me get the water changes done in the other 3 tanks.

    got a little creative today and made a sponge filter to use in qt/hospital tank. within the next couple of weeks we are planning on getting some corys to go with the guppies and after they're out of qt then we're looking into getting some synos to go with the africans. we've got a plastic 5g tank we'll use now for a qt.

    Trying to catalog my stock.... Not are easy a task as one had hoped >.>;
    Cleaned out another 115+/- snails. I counted to 54 and decided to give up on that. Letting them dry so I can crush them to make snail meal for my next Triops Hatching.

    water changes and filter maintenance.
    went out this morning to get some fish and dog food and a sponge for the a/c 110 ( old ones about 5yrs old and getting shabby). while i was getting the food and the sponge the wife and kids were looking at fish (was planning on looking at some bottom feeders anyway). well, we ended up getting : 3-albino cories, 3-mickey mouse platies, 1-african dwarf frog, 1-creamcicle lyretail molly, 1-redgold tuxedo guppy. when we got back home we set up the qt to put the new fish/frog in for about 3 weeks or so.

    I really don't care for lyretails much... The Albino Cory tend to be bronze cory. I'd have gotten something a little more interesting, Panda or peppered cory personally. My bronze tend to laze around and do little to nothing unless food is involved. The Peppers are ALWAYS active.

    Set up a new quarantine tank, taking apart my shrimp/snail tank. Bought 4 new guppies, and the three that survived have ick. New tank is well-salted and the heat is up. Within the few hours they've been in there the ick has fallen off(?) and they are active and very hungry. All good signs. Started a culture of Fairy Shrimp so they'll have live food in a few days.

    Hey gang been awhile since I have been on lots of changes have happened Due to the economy and health issues down to 1 tank a 60 gal with 6 platies and a swordtail. It's on the lanai so constant battle with hair algae :) hopefully next month can get a UV sterilizer and some plants. If anyone has clippings the are going to get rid of cheap let me know. Tank gets lots of natural sunlight so I need plants to help with the algae.

    are you doing regular partials on this one? Added anything new or disturbed any substrate if you have any in it?

    Welcome back Ursi! Glad to hear from ya :)

    ~Tank related: grabbed a couple packs of the hikari bio-pure bloodworms at the lfs the other day, man those things went up in price (almost $4 a pack of cubes). Added some plastic plants for the fish...discus are trying to breed in the 90g so trying to curb some of the aggression.
