@Dawn I'm a few days late on the partial, but aside from reintroducing my Cherry shrimp and some Ramshorn snails nothing of interest. Between jobs I'll try to get the partial finished >.>; Reminds me... TIEM FOR THEA SLEEAPS

The tanks I bought need to be soaked, used and have some serious wear on them. Mixed a bleach mix into the water to soak. Going to also use vinegar and peroxide to clean them.

I wouldn't recommend doing so, mixing chemicals can be dangerous. The PLAIN bleach will disinfect it and kill anything harmful that could possibly remain.
Afterwards do a good rinse, and then of course allow it to "set" with a good dechlorinator such as prime....next re-rinse and allow to air dry and perform the sniff test.
Sniff test- if it smells of bleach then re-rinse again.

I'm just feeding the fish...tank looks soo good that I'm captivated by it :)

@dawn bleach mix is bleach and water. The vinegar and h2o2 is for removing the buildup on the glass.

okie dokie, but the bleach (or at least ime) removes any/all buildup as long as I scrape it (ie. using tom cleaning tool razor-like attachment).

I'm simply adjusting the timer on my lunars...I think someone must have bumped it because my lunars didn't come on last night like they normally do (about 30min after last bank of lights go out).

changed out the gavel in the 10g for some crayola play sand (pink of all colors). every snce i showed my wife a few pics of tanks with crayola play sand in them she wanted to try one. seeing as pink is one of her favorite colors that's what she wanted to try so i was up late lastnight rinsing the sand. then this morning redid the 10g, i'll post pics soon.
water changes and filter maintenance on all other tanks.

Enjoyed a waterchange marathon starting at 6am until...5:45pm. I may have had a break or two in there somewhere. I caught and moved over 500 fry from 27 species of Tanganyikans. 4 more months until I move... I just can't wait to empty and carry tanks upstairs. Yippeeeee....not.
    ;)

watching my discus spawn on the intake filter...eggs appear fertile, but I'm pretty sure someone in the tank will make a quick snack of them once the parents leave the site. Supposed to be doing partials today and cleaning the inside tank wall, but with eggs I think I may hold off being they should hatch by either tonight or sometime tomorrow if all goes well with them.

discus eggs were fertile, this time the female bred with my brilliant (avatar pic).
They are currently wiggling, but I know they won't last long in a community tank *sigh*

Tried to do partials but parents were too aggressive, so opted to wait a few days rather than stress them out. Added a cap of prime to the tank in the meantime.

tank wouldn't stay cycled, water ph levels would crash within hours (go from 7.2 to way below 6.0).
