got home from work this evening and came into the back living room (where the 150g & 55g are) to turn on the tank lights and feed them to find that one of the oscars or jd (in the 15og) had pushed the outlet tube of the magnum h.o.t. filter above the lid and it was pumping water across the lids of the tank. lucky for them (and us too) that the water ran back into the tank and not on the floor.
checked on our pregnant guppy, she stopped eating so if my research is right she should be giving birth in a couple/few days.

it could've pumped about 40 gallons (intake tube only goes about 7 1nches under the water) on the floor and possible burnt up the pump.

update on our female guppy: it appears that she had her fry the other day while we were at work and ate them. :( when we checked after getting home, she is skinny and found no fry in the net. maybe better luck next time. going to move 5 male guppy from qt and put them in the 55g and move the female guppy to the 10g (qt) for now.
    water changes and filter maintenance.

went yesterday and rehomed our metriaclima greshakei (female) and got some new gravel (fine grade) for the 55g (replacing the nickled sized) and of course there was a sale on fish going on. along with the gravel, we walked out of there with 7 white skirt tetra, 3 kuhli loach, 6 cory cats, 2 cobra guppy. got the new fish acclimated and put the loaches, guppies and cory cats in the 10g qt, the white skirts went in the 20g (used to house the female greshakei). changed out the gravel in the 55g and added some different decor and did a partial water change.
today we're doing water changes and filter maintenance on the other tanks.
