what are you doing today that is tank related?

Water changes and set up a 150 gal tall tank , The other day our cat died and we buried him , He was 20 years old , He was a great cat .

Water changes & filter maintenance. The air pump on my 150g wasn't putting out a lot of air and barely producing bubbles so I took apart and cleaned the air pump...works good as new now.

 

Got my 150 gal tank set up and now get to do water changes on all my tanks .

We decided to move some of our fish around, took the electric green tetra and white skirt tetra out of the 20g and put in the 55g. Took the guppies from the 55g and put them in the 55g. The albino cories from the 10g to the 2og, the female red wags from the 10g to the 20g and the male red wags from the 10g to the 55g.

Then we had to go out and get some bedding for our son's hampsters and while at the lps I went to the fish department to just "look". Well......they had a big sale going on....ended up getting 10 guppies, 5 red wag platy, 10 kuhli loach, 1 betta. Time to set up an additional qt.

 

This morning when I turned the tank lights on and fed the fish, all the ones that got moved around are doing good and the new ones in qt's are settling in quit well.

 

Glad they are all settling in well, we both know how stressful it is on both the fish and the owner when moving them from tank to tank

 

When we moved our first batch of kuhli loaches from qt to the 55g, found out that its best to take out all the decor to catch them. Didn't think a guppy would be that fast of a fish until you try to catch one in a net....lol

 

My wife got me 3 beautiful Angels the other day . My new 150 gal tank is doing good , I got to do water changes on all of them soon , Just trying to get the time to do them .

 

Getting the time seems to be the story of my life lately lol

 

Sometimes its hard to get the time to do water changes but I get them done , Tues. Iam going to get 2 Marble Angels .

 

water change and filter maintenance. also checked water parameters in the qt, 8 of the 10 guppies we got last weekend died this week. water checked out at 0, 0, 15. i think that we are done with getting guppies.

 

I have never been able to keep them alive, I have gotten then from pet shops as well as reputable breeders and they just do not like my water for some reason. I feel your pain.

 

In the past few months or so, we've got around 80 guppies (males and females) and we're down to 9 males. We can't even keep mickey mouse/sunburst platy alive, but we've got 8 red wag platy and 1 variatus that's thriving...go figure.
Got a couple small pieces of driftwood that I'm boiling out the tannis to go into the 55g.

 

Just went and picked up a Silver Angel he about the size of a half doller , Going to get 2 more big Angels on Tuesday afternoon . LOVE the Angels !!!!!!

 

Angles are SO pretty, I really miss mine would like to get back into them when my life settles down a bit.

 

Got my 2 big Angel fish today , They are beautiful , They are Marble Vieltail .
