just scored 2 more 55 gallon complete setups for 25 buck, one was free with 2 stands, the other fully loaded for 25

so: 3 heaters, 1 filter of unknown kind/size, 2 hoods/lights, a bunch of un used gravel, 2 55 gal tanks(dont leak), 3 stands

and who knows what else decorations wise, all for $25 dollars

man i probably will just mix and match parts to make my own setup, then sell the rest off, i cant refuse the prices, today is insane, i scored one yeesterday as well, 55 with hood/light and stand, so i might have 3 tanks and 4 stands, with tons of accessories all for $25 the one yesterday was free as well.....
im going to end up becoming a used tank/supplies salesman on the side, its amazing what happens when you put an add on CL just saying you will take any aquariums and supplies, that are not broken or in bad condition, for dirt cheap or free, ive had it posted for 23 hours and have had 4 responses, 2 of which were the free 55 setups, one for $25, and i refused a 20 gal setup for 20 bucks......I would reccomend people doing this to get dirt cheap driftwood/caves and plants that people paid top dollar for at petsmart/petco, sterilize the stuff and weed through the junk, and alot of tresures can be scored, its amazing the amount of people that pick up the hobby get sick of the maintainace and dump it with the snap of a finger, through the stuff in there garage and give the stuff away......

wow, that is a great deal.
I agree, would use what you can to make complete setups (heater/filter/lights/hood/stands/aerators) and then sell off the remaining or save it for backups if you have the room.

So how many COMPLETE tanks are you doing to end up with and most importantly...what are you going to stick in them?

Man, for those prices you can turn some into stocked tanks and some into sumps for the stocked tanks!

lol i have no idea what im doing, im just getting overwhelmed in email responses, I never in a million years expected this, I have 2 pick ups arranged for wednesday afternoon before work, but if I have 3 tanks and 4 stands, with crap loads of extras, i think im just going to pick out the top of the line stuff for 1 master tank for myself, and maybe put oscars in there, at least until they get monsterous then I could always rehome them, but i think a 55 should suit them for a while, maybe ill try and mate them lol, all the rest left over I may just pawn back off on CL in a few months and make some money. I just hope no body emails me they have like a 150 gallon complete setup for free, or $20 or something, ill have to get it for that price, and then ill really be a pack rat, ill have to ship Dawn free sample overstocks lol........well see what happens, hopfully the emails slow down a bit, things are getting hectic.

I'd do a complete 55g...use 1 55g for a monster sump and stick all your equipment in there....and then use another 55g for a growout/planted tank!

good deals wart...most people in my area want top dollar.your so lucky!!!!
a little advice on getting oscars, they grow quick when they're young and 55gal is barley enough room/water for 1 (i found out the hard way myself). they are very hard to sex also unless you catch them in "action". by time they are ready to breed they'll be approx 10 + inches.

ok thank for the advice, i better not get them then, they are just such a cool fish to me....I might make a tiger tank, like 15 tiger barbs, and 5 or 6 clown loaches, are there any other kind of fish that is tiger striped???

awsome thanks ill check it out, we used to have a oscar when i was growing up, my mom threw it in our 55 gal, if people would have looked what was in that tank it would have defied all compatablility charts, there were guppys, fancy goldfish, pleco, oscar(got to be 12"), tiger barbs, tetras, and an angelfish, they all got along great, no disease, no fin nipping, and the guppys would swim right up to the oscars face and he would just turn away, he was so cool he had a perfect "R" marking on his tail, really cool fish

feed fish and checked around again in the african tank to see if there is any more fry lurking around, so far haven't found anymore, it seems we only still have the 1.

dosing, feeding, removing a few plant leaves that the inhabs plucked.
Getting ready to test the uv to see if it works (testing in shower with a bucket) and on a side note cleaning all the ac's that have been running 24/7 (which helps keep the tanks from overheating) due to this high humidity and heat we've been having. Ugh!

I just fert tabbed and pruned all of my swords

Also scrubbed the algae off of all my filters and changed out my media in my Magnum 350
