Trying to open my 30 gallon and hoping that the female wont pester this male to death (literally) I tried once already and had to separate them again.... maybe I will try again later... He REALLY needs to stand up for himself!!!!

Also waterchanges and generous feedings today...

Supervising the 2 fish again today.... I put them both on the same side of the divider and moved the divider giving them only 1/3 of the 20 gallon tank... They have to figure things out this close together there is no hiding!!!

did water changes..changed 1 set of filters on the 55g & changed filter on the fry tank.

water changes late last night...fed everyone today...staring at the tank and deciding if I want to add Denison Barbs (thinking I probably will)...and would like to add 8 more glowlight tetras.

I'm really not feeling the black neons I got...Don't know why, but I prefer the glowlights. Thinking somewhere down the road they will go up for adoption.

It water change day yay! Tho I did my 30 gal yday already. I felt like cleaning them lil buggers.

Now dosing flourish excel, flourish, using up my flourish nitrogen...and will add others as I see the need.

Broke up all but one pair... making decisions of where I would like to evolve into... choosing to part with some of my fish....

I dont want to ship... Too risky IMO... And it was a choice I made last night....

Im not going community... I am keeping my wilds and my Turquoises.... I need to sell the Marlboro Reds so I can shut those 3 tanks down for a while and clean them out... I also want to get some more wilds and maybe another Turquoise or so...

Well at least that was mine for the time being.

So I take it your going to set up a wilds only tank and a turq. only tank...and ?leave 1 for a emergency/quarantine tank and 1 for umm...fry?

No... My display holds my 2 Turquoises and Wild Heckels... after I get rid of the 5 Marlboros I will get a few more for my display....

Not planning on running any more than the 1 display tank... the other 3 will get put away until needed again... IF I get a pair out of my display I will set tanks back up as needed...

I am tired of working for these fish and I just want to enjoy them again for a little while...

My mind has been made up what Discus I like for almost a year now... I just never wanted to sell half of my fish to get there... that is what I was on the fence over... but I see no other way as I need the $$$ if I want more fish and I am trying to run only 1 tank again for a while and REFUSE to put those Marlboro Reds in my display tank again...

Did my weekly water change; and got bitten by my Convict pair while replanting a fake plant, that I accidentally uprooted while pouring the new water into the tank... them little suckers hurt lol

Ouch, only thing I can think of worse than that would be a big Dovii, or a Peacock Bass, in the Cichlid family at least; I was bitten by a Oscar when I little, scared the heck out of me, I thought he was like our gold fish so I tried to pet him and well...

Took photos of my 3 tanks... watching the 2 pairs...

Separated the male and female in the 30 gallon leaving the male on the half with the eggs (he is an experienced parent up to the attachment phase.) Another 2 days or so here of waiting but I have good feelings on this tank!

Checked on the eggs in the 20 gallon as they should hatch anytime today... I will find out if the parents wont eat them by tonight... I hope to see wigglers....

Once wigglers come I need to get motivated to break down my 55, clean the sand out and set it up downstairs near my display so I can keep up with the water changes daily... It makes my life easier.... my wife is going to LOVE me for that...

Observing the 2 "pairs" that are not proven in my 125... there is VERY VERY territorial action between these 2 pairs... Plans are I will not move these until I have 2-3 spawns from the parents.... I am hoping by the blue "pair" in here that if they spawn it MIGHT trigger the Heckels to do the same... The bond is growing fast between the 2 blues... I made a good call bringing them back to the display with the rest of the fish...
