    Ended up removing filter floss from the canister filter since I now have a prefilter and dropped in a bag of purigen and algone.

    Did a 50% water change on the 10 gallon and rinsed the sponge filter. Pulled the pre filter from the 20 and rinsed that as well.

    Cleaned my protein skimmers ,better them than my filters , I have 2 octopus skimmers that really work well

    Watched roommate do water changes it was hysterical. I can't stand due to stroke so roommate keeping up tanks for me till I can do it again.

    Hah, I used to swab the floors after PWC's. I grabbed a 900gph pump and clamped a hose to the outlet and jsut set that in the tank now, tongs stir up the gravel and within 5 minutes the PWC is done.

    Just got 10 yellow shrimp in the mail, including guppy grass (?), snails, & some teeny tiny round floating things that look related to duckweed. No duckweeds!!!
