I think I may have to put a HOB filter on the swordtail tank today. The sponge filter isn't keeping up with the waste these guys produce.

just prefilter that hob, because the babies will be sooo small they'll get sucked in for sure.

Pretty much just watching the tanks & debating if I want to do an early wc on the 90g (good bit of mulm).

Yeah, I'm going to walk down to the basement in a bit and grab one of my spare HOBs and see what I can rig up.

Got a small HOB filter put onto the Swordtail tank and did a 50% water change while vacuuming the sand.

I found some angelfish on craigslist! Vaccumed 1/2 of the 55 gallon rocks and water change. Probably do the other 1/2 tomorrow. Tested the water and added stress relief (with water change). Scrubbed the filter intake (ewww) thank goodness for toothbrushes to clean those tubes. I also replanted the plastic plants which were uprooted... :) silly fishies! Also wondering: I did that fish per tank thingy and does anyone else have plecos? I know they get big, but they work wonders with the algae!

Go with bristlenoses...they get along with anything and only get to be 4" max.
Plus they won't damage live plants which is another +

found some discus, awaiting reply from the breeder on actual pics of his red and green strains. Still trying to design the scape. having issues with my CAD program and vista(even xp for that matter, shouldnt have tossed the win95 box) Thinking about how to arrange my angels to cut down on bullying. Held an elaborate funeral for a female gold ram who lost the fight against the dominant female gold ram in the tank...evidently a 210g tank is not enough room for these rams to peacefully coexist.

Dawn, I will PM you later on some questions related solely to fish(checking on my babies mmkay)

    Enjoy your aquariums.

    ^^Okays,
just fed everyone yet again (frozen bloodworms & cory sized algae tabs & flake for the gups for the 90g, frozen bloodworm for the 20L, and flake for the 10g),

Moved the mari whatever towards the front of the middle driftwood (90g) because it was looking funky where I had it.

Only feeding today. Still trying to figure out the right amount of food to feed the new Swordtails and how often. I'm not used to feeding larger fish since I've only kept Endler's for the past 3+ years.
