20 gal (Kribs) they were pale and in the corner of the tank. 0-0-10 readings. did a 75% waterchange and added extra Prime. 1/2 hour later they're fully colored and their normal selves. Have no idea what it was. Water was crystal clear, no temp change. Only thing different was I opened a new freeze dried blood worms yesterday and feed them but no other tank was affected. Really strange.

did partials early (rather than the normal thursday) on the 90g, 20g Long, and 10g.
everyone's doing well and it seems the betta is still hanging on amazingly.

Ran to the petstore for bloodworms and petsmart was out, ran to petco which wasn't too much further and they were out too?
Seen the tanks that were 1 per gallon at petco and the 40g breeder was SuhWeet! Wish I had the room :(

Dumpster diving roommate found a 10 gal bowfront, hood with a 18" T8 bulb, Hob filter, 25W heater and 5 plastic plants. All brand new in sealed packages. Someone put it in there trash pile so he knocked on the door and the guy said if you want it take it. SO I have a 7th tank now. Plants are neon colors so we're doing a fantasy tank for the living room with a sand bottom (had the sand already) What a find!

Ok so I just checked my new african dwarf frogs... I posted that I got them for free off craigslist... and that the female looked pregnant... well tonight after coming home from walmart...I found all kinds of eggs in their tank! Most look unfertilized, but a few look possible! Woohoo!

Thinned out some java moss in the endler tank and moved the cladophora I had been growing into the ember tank. Also shortened the riser tubes on two of my sponge filters.

Paid off the loan on the house and land that we took out to build the goldfish farm after 180 payments
So I have effectually been in the goldfish business 20 years.
    Who would have thought it

Dosed some medicine into my mom's tank: medical salt and some anti-bacterial medication. As I found her goldfish with frayed fins covered in white dust all of a sudden o_O It seemed to have developed in just a few hours! Luckily, the meds seem to be working wonders! :D

Diatom algae going wild in 55 gal all of a sudden. SAE's and snails can't keep up with it. Scraping. turning off lights and 50% water change done. Anything else I can do?

Did about a 60% partial also (on the 20L) and added eco-complete substrate (since I had some saved) and screubbed all the diatoms off everything. Also new cartridges added to the filters and stuck the large sponge filter in there.

Hoping to get these diatoms under control!

I also did a 60% on my 10 gallon tank, topped off the 5 gallon (I need to clean that tank soon) fed fish and frogs... looks like the frogs have eaten most of their eggs... :( but the female looks full of eggs again already! I might put a few more marbles in their tank tomorrow and do a partial water change.

Lowered both tanks to 75 from 86. It's been so hot here lately I can't take the extra heat the tanks are putting off.
