trying to decide where to put the angel that is lowest on totem pole, Getting picked on badly and fins starting to get nipped. It's funny because he's the second largest fish in the tank.

Shipped out some fish to NC.

Need to do a water change on both tanks since they haven't had one lately. I've been slacking.

Finally got around to switching the Endler's and the Swordtails. I almost gave up because I couldn't find the normal intake grid for the C220 filter. I had to place the prefilter I had on it onto the HOB filter on the 10 gallon. Finally I found it, in a box that I had some fish stuff in so I wouldn't lose it. Go figure.

Now I'm hoping the Swordtails don't try to jump out of the tank since my versa top can't go on it with the HO T5 fixture that I have.

    revamping a T8 fixture for a 10 gal.

Anthony do you have floating plants? That helps in my open top tanks.

Nothing that's really a "floating" plant but my L. Repens is so big is does come up to the top of the tank and is spread out a bit across the top of the surface. My light, even though a good 2-3" above the surface of the water, does cover most of the tank so that may help if the do try to jump. I'm hoping they don't though.

Lots and lots of feedings. Swordtails are being fed every few hours it seems.

    Feeding.

Moved a few pieces of Wisteria down to the 10 gallon tank. I'm hoping now that the tank is mature the sand will hold enough nutrients that the plants will grow.

I had nothing to do so I ended up pruning the L. Repens and Wisteria in the Swordtail tank (It's available in the Trading Post). After doing that I did a 50% water change. After adding the water I found a fry. I assumed it was an Endler fry I missed when relocating everyone but it looked a bit different so it may be a Swordtail. It's really odd that there's only one though, unless she's in the process of giving birth now. She is after all over 5 weeks pregnant. I throw the fry in the Endler tank so it wouldn't get eaten so we'll see if it's a Swordtail or and Endler in a few weeks of if I notice more fry I'll know it's a Swordtail.
