If the algae doesn't come off the plants and their plastic they sell a plastic plant cleaner just so ya know (can't remember the exact name but I know I picked up a bottle at Petsmart before).

Just mustered up enough energy to do partials on the 20L and the 10g, clean off the algae on the heaters in those tanks using a toothbrush, and even rinse the prefilters/sponge filters in those tanks too.

They're real plants but I've had this type of algae on the plants before and generally it comes off pretty easily.

I set up my 83 gallon last week, forgot to mention that :) And yesterday I cleaned our Horus' tank, incredibly messy since I hadn't been home for a while and my sis refused to follow my feeding directions and had him overfed :C

My 30g tank had a leak , I have fixed it during the weekend left it filled with water to check again.
So today I'll be adding soil in it, if its still leaking I'll have to fix again :(

Moved my fish tanks over today. Man was that a lot more work then I thought. My Swordtail finally dropped her fry last night and of course I had to spend an extra hour catching them all. What a pain in the butt. I managed to get most of them, if not all. I'm not sure how they'll do in the new water though. I noticed a few swimming around and they seemed okay but now I can't see them. They do have a lot of places they could be hiding though so hopefully at least a few will make it out of this batch.

Had to run to PetSmart to get a bag of Floura Max for the 30 Long. The 3 bags of Eco Complete that were in the 20 didn't provide enough coverage.

I really like the rasbora het. and the orange von rios (really nice in a large school)!
I find neons last longer than the cardinals for some odd reason too!
Watch with the zebras and bloodfins if your putting them with the discus though (they discus might hide with them).

Feeding, Feeding, and Feeding the 10g LoL!

zebras are new, the bloodfins do fine infact they are the main schoolers in the tank, always out, the discus rarely hide as i have some of that l indica for a massive canopy. the von rios and hets are friggin awesome in this tank, they needed the big swimming space.

they even move out of the way of the discus especially at feeding time.

agreed, wish I woulda got more of the hets and von rios when I initially bought some.
Now I simply don't wanna add anything because I know I'ma have to divide off a section of it for all these discus fry.
    ----
netted the excess food from the bottom of the 20L and the 10g, rinsed the prefilter off from the 10g-added prime and topped it off.
