what are you doing today that is tank related?

They are, its a very nice green coloration that they have. Soon as they come in, I'll get some pics up.

 

I have to change the white actinic bulb on my light fixture. It seems like it's dimmer than it should be. I think I'm going to go ahead and replace it with a 18k. Then I'll have a 10k and an 18k running. With the plecos in the tank I shouldn't have any algae issues this time. All the algae in the tank is gone now. Thanks Plecos !

Also going to run to PetSmart, I think I'm going to buy those small BN Plecos they have and take a look at their Pineapple Swords.

 

Taking some fish to LFS today for some credit.

Instead of credit, I went ahead and got 4 sword plants and a fluval 100 watt heater for the 30 gal tank.

 

straightening the 2 drawers I have fish stuff in and putting away media and algaefix that I picked up the other day.

 

Putting in my new piece of driftwood and plants I got tonight. Woo Hoo !

 

sold off the last of the discus juvis, kept 3 or 4 just to see what color they turn out to be....and of course there's the 100something babies in there too. LoL!

Hoping my prime comes in today from ablackhorse (ran out of stock, and the new shipments supposed to come in this week).

Now that the last of the discus I was willing to part with are gone I'm hoping to get a partial done on both tanks today (if I have enough prime left that is).

Also, helping a friend stock a 55g that he's wanting to do with S.A Cichlids. So Fun!!! So wish I was there to set it all up [icon_e_sad.gif]

Yay! had enough Prime left over to get the 90g & 20g partials done. By the looks of it just may be lucky enough to have enough to get next weeks partial done.

According to the e-mail when questioning where the bleep my order was ...their supposed to get more in this week.
So it SHOULD be here before the next partial...should.

 

I got that response too, "supposed to" is retail talk for "I dunno".

 

Thanks to my new driftwood my tank is yucky looking. Guess it's water change day.

 

Did a 50% water change, changed how my spray bar was attached and located in the tank and cleaned my canister filter. It doesn't seem like the spray bar is giving me much more flow then without it. I may have to pick up an XP1 to add to the tank and just use it as a media filter or something.

Going to PetSmart to buy a Rena XP2. Since my friend's GF works there she said she would give me a 30% discount.

 

Got my Rena XP2 installed and I really like it, more so than my Marineland C220. I didn't know the trays were divided into two so I ended up keeping the coarse foam and fine foam in the bottom tray and putting some bio media in the top one with a bag of carbon. I'll end up taking the carbon out once the tank is clear again (driftwood).
