what are you doing today that is tank related?

well this will be number 6 and 7 that I loose if these two dont shape up, if that happens im done for a while, back to having no pairs.

 

Hopefully adding 12+ Koi Swordtails. Just waiting for them to arrive.

adding mts to the tank and watching the glow lites trying to spawn in the 20L.

 

water changes, filter maintenance, glass cleaning.

 

OMG ! I JUST WOKE UP AND MY TANK IS LEAKING WATER FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE TANK SOMEWHERE !

Added sand and plants to pond. stream tank and the 55 (getting ready for Vic ruby greens.)

 

Yep. Called the place I bought it and she's going to call Monday to get me a replacement.

I just finished removing all the fish and plants from the 65 and put them in the new 29 I had just sitting in the closet.

I hooked up a sponge filter because my XP3 would be way too strong for the 29.

I never thought I'd be so happy to have bought a new shop vac last month.

This is the first time I've ever had a tank leak, in the 20 or so years of keeping fish. I guess I'm lucky it happened today, on my day off and not while I was at work.

 

WOW that sucks....bet your glad you didn't sell the 29 after all.

 

Yep. I was thinking that as I was pulling it out of the closet. That and my dual T5 HO unit for the 20 gallon tank. I set that up on top of the 29 because my 4 bulb T5 unit doesn't fit. At least this way my plants won't die so fast. I assume it's going to take a week to get my tank in unless she can rush it somehow and have it come in on Wed. when they get their shipment at the store.

 

So what happens to the one that is leaking?

 

They take it back, no ?

 

Not for sure that's why I was asking you...LOL

 

I just assume I'm going to have to take it back when I go to pick up the new one.

 

When you get the new one in you take the old one back, they will swap em out then do what they need to do in order to get credit for it from the vendor. That sucks, I have nightmares about the 210 letting loose.

 

Re-doing the central air system for my tanks. Just got all the valves from Ken's fish so I can proceed with the project. Hoping to get it done over the next week.

helping my father set up a 55 gallon he got off craigslist today. Has some beautiful plants with it. One huge amazon sword that I would love to steal from him. Bought it with the fish as well. Apparently the guy he got it from started off with 4 guppies. We estimate there are currently over 300 in there now. Have some serious work to do to reduce the numbers. Lots of bent spines in there.

 

Well went on line for an auction in Iowa and bid on 8 Tropheops sp. "Yellow Chin" juvies and I won. Got all eight for $20.00. Now i just have to wait until next month to go down and get them. Picking them up at their next swap meet while I pick up the fish I won in another contest they had. If my Albino Blue eyed, Albino Long Fin, Brown, and Albino Bristlenose are ready I will be selling them at the swap. Along with alot of others that I have.
