Waiting for my Koi Swordtails to arrive. USPS really messed up with this delivery... Shipped Wednesday afternoon from GA... Should have been here on Friday... Saturday at the very latest... As of 11:02 this morning... Out For Delivery... With the temp going down to 7.5 degrees last night I'm expecting to open a package of frozen fish.

Going to WalMart to pick up a Rubbermaid container to put all my plant substrate from mt 65 in. Got a call from the pet store today and she ordered my tank but it won't be in until next Wednesday. She said to bring my tank back anytime before then because they want to pick it up when they deliver my new one.

Going to try and repair one of my Whisper 40i's that quit on me yesterday afternoon after unplugging it for a water change. Tetra sent me some trouble-shooting tricks. The filter is several years old so if I can't get it running I'm not too disappointed. but it would be nice to not have to replace it since I've got some other aquarium-related expenses coming up.

Took the shop vac to my 65 gallon tank and got the rest of the water out and gravel and took it back to the pet store. My new tank won't be in until next Wednesday.

are they giving you a discount? (being you had to pull everything out, recycle the tank, and set it all back up..not including water damage...or were you lucky enough to get it fast enough)?

I'd be hitting them up for at least a bottle of smart cycle if not a slight discount on the replacement tank for the hassle.

<--today should have been water changes, but with the way I'm feeling...it ain't happening.
    tomorrow's another day!

I don't know. My Grandmother said I should get some sort of compensation too but I didn't ask.

I'm getting it replaced free of charge so I didn't push for anything when I spoke to her on the phone. I was half asleep and freaking out at the same time.

    compensation my friend, compensation.

it's their job to replace a defective tank...they all come with warrantys of some sort against defects...and that's definately what you had according to your description.

Sometimes though if you don't rock the boat early you make up for it later.

The acrylic 40 B's are 100 bucks each for us(using the business account rather then our personal one) so its cheaper then the store by far even for glass.

wow, that's a great deal on acrylics, petco in my area was (at least as of about 2 weeks ago) still running their $1 tank sales and included the glass 40g Breeders.

Are you using the acrylics for fish racks (being lighter)?

good idea, that way if you score deals on some other tanks you could handle the weight load.

Doing a water change on the temp tank. Changing water on a tank that's sitting on the floor isn't too easy.
