Stopped treating the new fish with Maracyn and Maracyn Two as it wasn't helping the fish. I thought it was just simply fin rot on their tails but it seems have be a fungal infection. Started treating with Maroxy tonight. Hopefully that fixes the poor guys.

Power was out for 4 hours so didn't get my water changes done. It was 67 degrees outside so I worked on a background. Mache 3D rocks and fake plants. will be a shadow box in back of a 55 gal.

Pulling apart the 90g yet again, apparently somewhere in the plumbing of the uv there was a leak..the water built up behind the background and it came schlepping off and I couldn't get to the equipment because it's such a tight fit against the bleeping wall.

Then when I pulled the filters the tubing had sand throughout it as did the ac110 (I will never buy caribsea moonlight sand again), so I ended up doing a night run to the one lfs that I don't particularly care for (but they were the only one open)..grabbing background, seaview, safestart, tubing to bypass the uv (so not worth the aggrovation to rehook it back up and will be selling it off for sure), and actual gravel because once I go through all this that sand is NOT going back in after finding it in everything!

This year is so off to a crappy start!!!

Discus are in the 20L "holding", everything else plant and inhabitant wise are in a 10g "holding" and all equipment / remaining decor is scattered throughout buckets in the house "holding".

Hoping to get this all done in less than 24 hours. Wish me luck!

Well the shipment with my tank on it never arrived at the store yesterday and they don't know why. That stupid shipment better get there today since I made sure I had off so I could get it set up.

20gL will be getting thoroughly disinfected and will "sit" until the background comes in (Marina Black/Blue) and the 10g will be disinfected as well (but stored).

Need to do a clean out session of things I no longer use/want too~

Every time I do that, I eventually end up wanting/needing to use what I got rid of!

Lol! Don't jinx me..I need ROOM! haha!

Feeding everyone, amazed how crystal clear the 90g is after the total rehaul...loving the new substrate, but thinking I need to scoop some out of the front (a bit too deep).

Listening to the whir of the new ac110, I cleaned it out thoroughly but it sounds like it's rubbing (the impeller).
Took a flashlight and shined it down there, can't see anything obstructing it in any way but it's slowly driving me mad!

soak the impeller in hot hot water, it will loosen the mulm stuck under the impeller. works for me with any impellers really.

I know I said I was doing it before, but tonight I'm really setting up the 30 gal. I was hoping to talk my son into a Leporinus species tank (altho 30 gals is prob'ly too small), but he's stuck on glass cats.

OKAY I get 40 lashes with a wet noodle. I purchased 2 baby oscars (2") a red tiger and an albino tiger. They were going to the toilet so I bought them for $5. Well guess the 55 african tank will end up an oscar tank. (Kick self). Put them in a 29 at the moment 55 is not set up for oscars.
