I use distilled vinegar it works best for lime deposits and hard water stains. White vinegar costs too much to use as a cleaner for me, I can get gallons of distilled at the walmart for a buck each. I think white vinegar has a reagent in it im not sure.

this filter hasn't even been running for a week, I have it unplugged now since the slight whirring is maddening.
I'll take it off at the end of the weekend and try the suggestions..thanks all!

Ordered $150.00 worth of food today from "Yours Fish Stuff" Talked to the people before I ordered and they said if they ggot the order before 9pm on FRiday they would have it shipped out Saturday morning. Checked on status and it was all shipped this morning and will be here in 2 days.
These people are on top of the game. They have a decent selection of fish foods and a few supplies. If my order gets here in 2 days i will put this in a reveiw for there company. As of right now I am really impressed. Spend $150.00 and it is free shipping.

sunday morning I stripped the 210 out, lateral line disease has set in on the blue discus(high genetic issue in ALL blue strains of discus all of them carry the gene)
possibly tossing out every plant thats in there as they wont survive in a tub for a month in this weather.

Collecting more stuff for the new 30 gal. Just received a slate bottomed driftwood piece I scored off of ebay for $2.15. It's huge and gorgeous!

Shipping was $6 (the seller wasn't far from me). The piece is about 12 x 7 and really solid. I think I'll use it as a center point in the new 30 gal.

FV, they are in question of being contaminated. They will be dried out if they dont survive the decomtamination.
