set up a stream tank at work and also get 2 5" discus fir free. Unfortunately they are thin and have fungus so I do not expect them to live long they have there own tank (50 tall) and there own equipment (net, buckets etc.....)

what strains are you looking for in that mix? im going to the chicago cichlid swap on sunday to peddle my wares and am in the market myself, (breeders tend to sell em cheaper if you buy their entire stock they have)

as for me, PWC on the 210(100g), pwcs on the 52 and 45.

Found a 50g tank with 3/4" glass and a 1" hole in the bottom sitting next to a dumpster, cleaning it but so far its 100% intact and holds water.

Just feeding today. Two of my bulbs aren't running for some reason. I turned off those lights then back on a few minutes later and they came on, so I know the bulbs aren't bad. Wonder if the ballasts on those two are going or something.

our current 125g has sprung a leak,in the seem between the back and side pain of glass on the left side, dropped the water level about 40g and stopped the leak. instead of keepping the fish in tubs until the tank gets repaired we are going to get another tank (probably a 150g seeing how it'll fit on the current stand) put the current occupants (3 oscars, jack dempsey, 2 plecos) back in. repair the 125g, build a new stand and put the african cichlids in it. we did come across a good deal on a 210g with stand but don't know if the floor can handle that much more weight.

wow, that's definately a project you have!
sorry to hear about the tank leaking (maybe you can repair it with silicone)? but I'd be soo scared it'd leak again and pour all over the house (but that's just me). If not, maybe try selling it for snakes/rodent use only? (better to comp some of your losses than none of them).

Photos will be a must once it's all set back up!

trying to save my powder blue Gourami. Looks like dropsy. Had company this weekend and didn't notice it until this afternoon. Got him in a Q-tank with Maracyn-Two. Think it may be too late now. :(

drools at the thought of a 150g (nice buzz, were you able to fix the other tank to use it for something else possibly)?

A bit late, but yesterday did partials and removed the one sword that was left in a pot for movability and planted it next to my centerpiece of driftwood. That same sword threw off a daughter plant, so once the roots looked good enough to me I planted it in the front right corner. Also, the new ac110 came in to replace the defective one...so far it's running well and not making unusual grinding noises! And as of a few seconds ago, I just finished feeding and putting in a few algae tabs for the clown loach and corydoras'

dropped the water level about 40 - 45g, took enough pressure off the glass and it quit seeping out the seem.

    water changes and filter maintenance.
