I put my 24watt UV Sterilizer back in my tank. I modified it a bit to fit on my filter outtake. Now that I have a canister filter I need to get an inline UV Sterilizer.

<--has one. I leave it run 24/7 on the xp4.
AS you remember the photos of the algae outbreak you can see what a huge improvement it made with the planted setup.

Yep, your tank clarity improved A LOT. I don't have a clarity problem but I'm trying to cut down on the BBA spores and some of the algae I have growing on my plant leaves.

I had the green soup issue and the bba (however the bba appeared after having the uv amazingly). Don't get me wrong, the saes and bristlenoses made it non exist...but every now and then I see a touch on the tips of the one plant. The chinese algae eater takes care of that though!

That's what I have on the back ...coralife (biggest one). Matter of fact, I'll need to change the bulb out this july.

man. that just ain't right, but I can't say that I would want to downgrade tank size. I'm glad to be able to put alot of fishy's in there and the plants are just great!

I took my UV Sterilizer out already. It was driving me crazy being in the tank.
