Lol, yea..my monster is behind the tank (inline) where I can at least stand it since I can only see the top. Lol!
I wish I had the room...would soo do a sump and stick everything in there.

Mine are pretty big... about 10" from top to bottom... It will be quite all right in that 30 though, I keep my 2 breeders in a 30 :D and I could have 2 pairs in there if I were to try a divider again!

Great :) But I'm still wondering if its really a 30 it seems more as a 20.. Anyways how do you see if it's a male or not the fish store guy couldnt tell it. He couldnt tell much though. Tomorrow I'm going again and check around a bit (It's fish arrive day then)

What are the dimensions (whatever unit of measurement you prefer)
You cant till unless they have their breeding tube out (yours is most likely too young to do that). Other than that, it is impossible to tell (short of seeing one lay eggs, but then you would have seen the breeding tube).

Also if you have 2 and they seem to pair it does not mean it is a male and a female.... It could be 2 females as they pair quite often.

    Breeding tube info:
Female - fat blunt tube (looks like the bottom of a mini-soda-can)
Male - skinny narrow tube (looks like a toothpick)

You wont be able to sex them in the store at all. Usually if you really want a pair you buy 5-8 of them and let them pair off themselves.... even if you do have a male and a female it does not mean they will pair as they choose their mates.

I dont really want a pair since I cant handle the eggs I think. There are neons in the tank And I do not have the time to spot for eggs each day.

Thats fine.... 2 males wont hurt anything... they will shoal together but wont fight (too often or rough)

I noticed several new Endler fry swimming around the plants this morning. [dancing] It's beginning to seem like I have new fry every few days, which is fantastic !

More more more :) The conditions in your tank must be great if they keep popping out fry :)
