What's New in Your Tank Today?

last time they were in the same tank,but in a breeder box.. they should be ok this time tho...both parents are fanning them,and the only other fish are 3 pepered cory cats...

 

Get rid of the corys... they can eat the wigglers that fall off of the spawn site (which happens a lot!)

 

Wow! All of this time watching my 30 gallon and my 125 and I just noticed I have eggs in my 55! 2 Red Sunsets just spawned!!!! There is NOTHING in the tank and they spawned on the glass...

Im not officially out of tank space! What to do?!?!? More time I have to think now.......

I am also out of heaters though I do have plenty of filters

 

sounds like someones gonna have to give in and make some purchases...I'd go for the rubbermaid..a good heater..and toss one of your filters on it (and if your lucky and have a banquet table in a ?basement you can stick it on that to make it easier to siphon for partials).

I know sterlite has the semi-clear ones?!?

 

I dont think the wife wants a bunch of rubbermaid containers with fish in them... but I have been trying to explain to her "What else do I have to do? These fish are way too good to just not breed!"

I am still hoping my Heckels pair... I have watched them for about 6 hours today (shows how much of a life I have)... I added a filter intake (upside down and its the height of the tank) to the corner the female likes as I have seen her checking out the "real" filter intakes...

She has been checking it out now for a while and the one male has too... it is seeming though like she is almost more interested in the weaker male for some reason but the alpha male wont let the other male near where she wants to be....

It is looking promising now though! As I am typing this the Male and Female are picking at the filter tube I stuck in the tank off and on....

 

That settles it it, looks like you will just have to build a fish room.

I live in a townhouse rental.... otherwise... I would do this in a heartbeat (I have plans on building a "fish shed" when I get a house whenever that may be complete with auto waterchanges, and the shed linked to the drainage/septic system )

thanks guys!! most of the eggs are still there..last night the city lost power for 3 hours..no filters!! the angels we acting real weird once the power came on..they were both on the bottom of the tank and wouldnt go near the eggs..but they seem ok now?!! sooo ..this makes 24 hours with the eggs.. just the pair and the eggs in the tank..

hope to get some pics soon...and the baby's tank is cute..lol she has 1 golden angel ( bella) 1 albino gorami (snowflake) and 4 albino bristle nose moon,star,bling and bitzy (its the smallest?!)
my tank has 6 pearlscale platnium blue pinoy (just got them in today)

 

sounds like a cute tank...love the names. Lol!
