    Set up a 55 gal. A lot (I mean alot) of caves ,Rock, Soil substrate with gravel overlay, sponge filters (that's what I had on hand) and water. Now to cycle the darn thing. With 30-40 baby Kribs I'm going to need the 55 running before to long. They're already all over the tank seeing it just parents and them in the 29 by themselves. NOW the adventure of finding more cheap plants for a 55 gal NPT! LOL. Wish me luck. Because I'm broke. LOL

    damn right, I think I am gonna use undergravel jets on this tank due to its size and circulation issues that can arise during the build. I didnt touch it today, I am starting on it at 7am when its gonna be 60 degrees. and continue till dinner when it will be in the low 80's, my fat butt is gonna have a farmers tan.

    I found a baby cory!

    I've noticed that two of my cories are female, and the other is a male. Well...I've also noticed from time to time, they engage in spawning behavior, and lay eggs on the glass. Most of the time, within a day or two, the eggs are gone (I figure they get eaten). Well, a few weeks ago, I was watching the fish swim around, and hiding amongst the wisteria jungle, there was a teeny tiny cory that was the same size as an oto. Sure enough, it was a baby. It's been hiding amongst the rocks and the plants, so for the last few weeks, my mom's been playing "spot the baby," but now he/she's been coming out of hiding more and more.

    congrats on the baby! I had eggs that I seperated so they'd hatch..lil boogers take a long time to grow too.
    Be sure to put some zucchini or canned no sodium french cut green beans for him (something soft and small).

    what's new in my tank...Endler Babies, gourami bubble nest, cherry shrimp babies, and ramshorm snails (aka loach food). :)

    Just a side note. Dawn got her original Endlers from me which were from wild stock years ago. I've found that lack of trace elements found in their water causes a bent spine every now and then.

    Females are always much larger then the males.

    Like I said, I can deal with it =P
    I really should have done a better job of inspecting the fish she sent befor I placed them into the tank XD
    The really "pretty female" has a red tail and a white dorsal. Mayhaps one of the descendants of the Snake Skin Guppies she had in there once upon a time?
    I'm going to clean my tanks tomorrow, so I'll figure things out then. Separated her from the school and placed her into the breeder box I've got in the 50 gallon. I'll likely set up the 3 gallon tank tomorrow and see how her fry look. She'll pop any second now o.o;

    i checked them before shipping and they looked really good. one or two females looked preggo and the male was really nice color wise (maybe stress from shipping, especially after looking at how that box arrived) Eek!

    1 female could possibly be a descendant of the snakeskin (was in there a short time, but we all know about endlers/guppies and how quickly they breed). Lol!

    Did the 2 babys I added survive the journey as well? I can't remember if I put them in the plant bag or in with the endlers?
