which substrate do you use for plants?

    Substrates (What are you using & best one for fish & Plants)
    I am about to change my substrate in the 40 gallon tank, I was wondering what you guys use and whats best for plants and fish?

    I use crushed coral in all my tanks. My plants do fine in it although a plant substrate is always best.

    the natural aquarium gravel in the smaller size but then again i keep discus which makes me a NUT
