I have a Female Betta, and I have noticed lately that, when she turns a certain way, it appears as though there is white on her gills, I was wondering if this is ich, or is it just part of her gills. She seems happy, and shows no signs of sickness , but i want to be safe.

to Shouter>>Would need a photo in the fish section to assist.
Ich should appear as fine grains of salt...and not be a whole even coloring.

further looking and i have concluded that it is not ich. It seems to appear when light hits it at different angles.
